Wrap With Attitude
Two brothers, one roll of wrap, and a long-running argument over who is better at hiding presents. Theo, the younger one, chose a pale lavender sheet printed with rows of green fir trees, red-breasted birds, gold stripes and a swirl of painted snow. He announced that his gift for his brother would be hidden in full view, in the middle of the living room, and that Caleb would never find it. Caleb, who had found every hidden gift since 2011, accepted the challenge with a very flat stare.
Theo wrapped the box, carried it to the bookshelf and set it between two books. It disappeared. The tiny forest on the paper blended into the spines, and the lavender matched the old paperbacks so well that Theo himself spent twenty minutes looking for it. He crawled behind the couch. He checked the freezer. At one point he accused the dog. Caleb sat in the armchair, sipping cocoa, watching a grown man hunt for a present he had wrapped himself.
The gift was a flashlight, which is a joke about being lost in the woods, and it turned out to be exactly what Theo needed. Caleb found it on day two, naturally, because it had been on the shelf in front of him the whole time. This soft lavender wrap does camouflage better than anything in the closet, and it also makes a present look calm and expensive. Sturdy, scratch-resistant and water-resistant paper holds a tight fold and keeps corners crisp. Buy it for the sibling who hides things, finds things or loses things. A forest in a box is a great gag.
Gift Wrap Details
A soft lavender-blue sheet sprinkled with a gentle snow. Rows of dark green fir trees stand in tidy lines, joined by red-breasted birds, tiny gold snowflakes and thin gold stripes that run across the paper like fence wire. The tree rows are the hook: wrap a tall box with the rows running up and it looks like a small forest. The flat photos show the stripes breaking the pattern into bands, so line them up with the box edges. Matte for a misty feel, satin for a frosty one. Three sheet sizes are available, and the paper creases cleanly around sharp corners.
Gift Ideas
Tuck a pocketknife inside and it looks like it came with a map. Tea in a tin looks like it was picked in the same forest. Mittens look like they are already waiting at the tree line. Each of those gifts gets a winter backdrop and the giver gets credit for effort. Skip the ribbon and use a loop of red yarn; the red-breasted birds pick it up, and the forest looks planned. Slip a sprig of real fir under the string and nobody will believe you did not hike for it.

Poster/Canvas Care
Care Instructions: Poster
Keep it out of direct sunlight, which fades ink over time. Hang it in a dry room, away from steam and damp. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth, and don’t spray or wipe it with liquid. For the longest life, put it under glass in a frame. Handle it by the edges, and store it flat or rolled loosely, never creased.
Care Instructions: Canvas
Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents and damp rooms. Dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a dry brush. Don’t use water, sprays or cleaners on the print. Hang it on a secure wall mount, and avoid pressing on the front of the canvas. If it’s stored, keep it upright and wrapped in a clean cloth, away from anything that could dent the front.
