Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John brings a Leonardo-linked Renaissance composition to paper. Beneath the calm faces and distant landscape, the infant Christ reaches toward a lamb, a traditional symbol of sacrifice.

About the Artwork

The composition is associated with Leonardo da Vinci and his artistic circle, but several surviving versions and workshop-related interpretations exist. Because authorship of the exact surviving image is not conclusively established, this reproduction does not claim a confirmed Leonardo attribution.

Design & Styling

A vertical religious composition framed by water, distant architecture, trees, and blue-green mountains. Its subdued landscape and concentrated figures suit traditional, spiritual, Renaissance-inspired, and eclectic rooms.

Print Quality & Materials

Available in Fine Art, Matte, and Semi-Glossy paper finishes. Fine Art provides a textured traditional-art surface, Matte offers a smooth low-sheen presentation, and Semi-Glossy adds a satin-like surface with stronger color contrast. Printed with giclée inks and shipped rolled for protection. Paper weight varies by selected finish.

Framing & Display

This fine art print is sold unframed. Frames shown in lifestyle or gallery images are for display inspiration only and are not included. Choose a frame and optional mat suited to the exact size ordered.

Original vs. Print

This is a professionally produced reproduction of a historic Renaissance image, not an original painting. It is not sold as an authenticated work painted personally by Leonardo da Vinci.

Explore the Artwork

The composition is connected to Leonardo’s circle, but its exact authorship remains disputed. The listing intentionally preserves that uncertainty rather than assigning an artist the evidence cannot support.

Also available as a stretched canvas print

Poster/Canvas Care

Care Instructions: Poster

Keep it out of direct sunlight, which fades ink over time. Hang it in a dry room, away from steam and damp. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth, and don’t spray or wipe it with liquid. For the longest life, put it under glass in a frame. Handle it by the edges, and store it flat or rolled loosely, never creased.

Care Instructions: Canvas

Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents and damp rooms. Dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a dry brush. Don’t use water, sprays or cleaners on the print. Hang it on a secure wall mount, and avoid pressing on the front of the canvas. If it’s stored, keep it upright and wrapped in a clean cloth, away from anything that could dent the front.
