Jeans with sun-bleached patches, ripped knees and a hem that looks like it lost a fight with a skateboard. The denim is a faded, steel blue with yellow-cream patches spreading across the thighs and knees like old stains from a hundred summers. A rip cuts across one knee, more tears fray the back hem and the legs run wide and straight. They look like a vintage find and feel like your favorite old pair. Wear It Loud

We picked this one for the damage. Big, bleached patches of cream and pale yellow cover the front of each thigh and the back of each knee, with deeper blue still showing at the waist and ankles. A distressed rip crosses the right knee with frayed edges and a few thread loops, and the back hem shows two worn tears where the denim has frayed. A metal button closes the high waist, belt loops circle the top and the back pockets sit flat with a clean arc of stitching.

It comes in Blue. Wear them with a baby tee and boots, an oversized flannel and chunky sneakers, or a vintage band shirt and skate shoes. Add a chain, a beanie and a crossbody, and you've got a beat-up denim look that took zero days to wear in.

Washing

  • Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle.
  • Turn it inside out and wash with like colors.
  • Use mild detergent. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Wash dark colors and new pieces separately the first few times.

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low, or hang it to dry.
  • Take it out while it’s still slightly damp to cut down on wrinkles.
  • Don’t dry it on high heat.
  • Iron on low heat, and don’t dry clean.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, which fades ink over time. Hang it in a dry room, away from steam and damp. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth, and don’t spray or wipe it with liquid. For the longest life, put it under glass in a frame. Handle it by the edges, and store it flat or rolled loosely, never creased.

Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents and damp rooms. Dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a dry brush. Don’t use water, sprays or cleaners on the print. Hang it on a secure wall mount, and avoid pressing on the front of the canvas. If it’s stored, keep it upright and wrapped in a clean cloth, away from anything that could dent the front.
