Why You Need It

Wide sweatpants in a heavy cotton with a soft olive-gray stripe running down both sides of the leg and a thick ribbed band at the waist. The legs fall straight to the floor and end in a raw, frayed hem that looks cut by hand. A pocket sits flat on the back and curved pockets are cut into the front. They are loose, thick and easy to wear. The thick cotton keeps its shape and the stripe adds a bit of design to an easy shape. Pull them on with any hoodie and you look like you know what you are doing.

Wear It Loud

We picked this one for the stripe. A wide olive-gray panel runs down the outside of each leg from the hip to the hem, against a black body, with a curved pocket cut into the front of each hip. The waistband is a thick, flat ribbed band with no drawstring, the legs fall wide and straight and the hem is cut raw with a short, soft fringe. The back has a single flat patch pocket on one side and the same side stripes.

It comes in Flower Gray and Black. Black is the dark one in the photos, with the olive-gray stripe fading into the body, and Flower Gray is the softer heather version of the same cut. Wear them with a boxy tee and chunky sneakers, a cropped jacket and boots, or an oversized hoodie and slides. Add a cap and a crossbody and you look like you are on your way to a studio session that runs late.

Washing

  • Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle.
  • Turn it inside out and wash with like colors.
  • Use mild detergent. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Wash dark colors and new pieces separately the first few times.

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low, or hang it to dry.
  • Take it out while it’s still slightly damp to cut down on wrinkles.
  • Don’t dry it on high heat.
  • Iron on low heat, and don’t dry clean.

Keep it out of direct sunlight, which fades ink over time. Hang it in a dry room, away from steam and damp. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth, and don’t spray or wipe it with liquid. For the longest life, put it under glass in a frame. Handle it by the edges, and store it flat or rolled loosely, never creased.

Care Instructions: Canvas

Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents and damp rooms. Dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a dry brush. Don’t use water, sprays or cleaners on the print. Hang it on a secure wall mount, and avoid pressing on the front of the canvas. If it’s stored, keep it upright and wrapped in a clean cloth, away from anything that could dent the front.
